It resonated with me because I'm on my way to achieve FI. And while I live a frugal life and try to live by the standards I consider ethic and fair, I'm always wondering the same, "Can you be financially independent and ethical at the same time?"

I also believe it's possible and I'm genuinely happy to be living a life in which consumerism doesn't have weight so much. But still, I doubt myself many times, "Maybe what I believe is ethical is not?"

I guess there's a lot of psychology revolving around money :)
