When I used to work at a company in the steel industry, another Ms. Engineer and I were ALWAYS the ones called to do random stuff like decorating offices (????). As you said, sometimes I just was like "fuck it, I'm getting paid to do crafts". But most of the time I just felt that my knowledge automatically was worth less than my male colleagues' and that was a bit discouraging.
Anyways, one of the multiple victories of remote worklife is that, most of the time, I can pretend I don't work with a lot of entitled male engineers that just cannot be bothered.
